Conformity

Conformed to the world,
I have lost my soul,
Conformed to society,
I have lost my heart,
I have conformed,
But only to lose everything,
My ideas,
My thoughts,
My love,
and my uniqueness.
It has all been lost,
with nothing to gain,
except acceptance.
Acceptance,
lost forever.
from peers today,
to forgotten memories tomorrow.
